What We Do
Our Mission
At From the Ashes Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Corporation, we strive to create a safe environment for neglected, abused, slaughter-bound, and surrendered horses in East Tennessee and surrounding areas. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these majestic creatures. Through our rehabilitation program, each horse will develop skills and abilities making them a desirable addition to any pasture. This gives them the best chance to avoid being in a situation that would bring them back to a rescue like ours.

Who We Are
From the Ashes Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Corporation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization with the IRS. We take in horses from many different situations including slaughter-bound, owner surrender, and situations where the horse(s) is not receiving proper treatment or care. These horses are brought to our facility in East Tennessee where we care for them and work to get them ready for a new forever home. How We Do It
We work with each horse tending to their individual needs. A lot of the horses that come to us are underweight and require proper nutrition and weight management before their training begins. We create an individualized training program for each horse that comes through our facility based on their abilities, conformation, and their interests as we observe them work. Once they are healthy and ready for a new home they are listed on our site for adoption where interested individuals and families can apply to be their new forever home.
